Support and Contact Forms
When using our support system or contact forms, for example the form found on https://roundupwp.com/support/, information such as your name, email address, and information related to the plugin or service you’re using may be collected. This information is saved in the database on our host’s server as well as forwarded to a helpdesk support system (Freshdesk). This information is meant to provide users with quick and accurate help with any issues or requests they may have. Information collected from these forms is only shared with our helpdesk system and is not shared with any other third-party organizations.
Plugin Demos
Our website also contains several pages related to demonstration of the features in our plugins. These demos have the potential to collect personal data though visitors using these pages are free to use abbreviations or fake information as the only purpose is to try out the features of the plugin. We do request, however, that real email addresses are used as this keeps our email bounce rate low which is important for maintaining a good email sending reputation. This data is saved in the database on our host’s servers and is deleted periodically (as of May 25th, 2018 it will be deleted within a week of being received). This information is also not shared with any third-party organizations.
Easy Digital Downloads E-Commerce
If you purchase one our products using our E-Commerce solution Easy Digital Downloads, a new user account is created for you automatically as well as a record of the purchase is stored in the database on our host’s servers. Information related to your purchase including licenses, website that your license is activated on, and basic contact information is included. Credit card information is never stored on our website.
Analytics
We may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze this type of information in order to provide better service and products. These third party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.
Plugin Data Collection and Use
Registrations for the Events Calendar
Registrations for the Events Calendar and Registrations for the Events Calendar Pro both store information about attendees that use the registration system in the WordPress database. As of version 2.2 of the free version and 2.3 of the paid Pro version, this data can be exported specific to an email address associated with the registration as well as deleted in bulk. Both plugins also have tools to obtain consent from the event attendees in the form a required checkbox. See this article for more details.
