Data Collection and Storage
At Roundup WP, your privacy is very important to us. As our plugins are installed and hosted on your own WordPress website, then we do not collect or store any of your Instagram platform data. We do not collect or store any of your Instagram login information, Access Tokens, or content. All data required to use the plugin is stored within your own website’s database. Your Instagram login information is not stored in your database by our plugin as the authorization process is done through the Instagram/Facebook login on those respective platforms. Your Instagram Access Token is stored in your local WordPress database for use in retrieving your content from Instagram’s API. The raw JSON data from Instagram’s API is also temporarily stored, which is then displayed as HTML when your web page is loaded. The plugin does not collect any data from the visitors to your website.
Information the Plugin Displays on Your Website
The plugin optionally displays the following data in your Instagram posts: photos, photo captions, the number of likes and comments a photo has, your Instagram username, the number of followers and photos your account has, your account tagline, the date of the photo, the location of the photo, and the link to your Instagram account.
Reading of Data
The plugin is built to be “read only” and so is not able to publish any data to, or edit any data on, the Instagram platform. The plugin can only display your Instagram content and is not able to publish to Instagram or access your Instagram account in any way other than as “read only”. It does not allow you to like or comment on content, edit or delete photos, or perform any of the other actions that the Instagram platform allows.
Removal of Stored Data
When the plugin is removed from your website, any saved data is automatically deleted from your database, unless you choose to have it remain by enabling the relevant setting in the plugin.
Cookies
Cookies are used to handle the connection between your browser and your Instagram account when authorizing your account. The cookies are stored locally on your computer. The plugin does not store cookies on your visitors computers.
Changes to this Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy in the future. If a change is made to this policy that we believe is material then we will update this page. By continuing to use the plugin after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
